Class FAQs
What ages can attend Summer Camps?
Children ages 3-8 are welcome to attend our themed camps. Children must be three for themed camps by the first date of the camp they are attending.
Are campers grouped by age?
The first day of camp the children will be put into groups as they arrive. The children naturally gravitate towards an age-appropriate setting, and friends and siblings may choose if they would like to be in the same group!
Does my child need to bring dance shoes?
For themed camps, dance shoes are not required but may be brought if the child likes. We will not tap in camp. Most dancers enjoy themed camp in their socks or barefoot as we do a lot of tumbling. Please be sure you have your child’s first and last name on all clothing/shoes.
Will my child need to bring a lunch?
Yes! Please pack a light lunch or heavy snack for your child. Please DO NOT INCLUDE nut products of any kind.
Does my child need to be a currently enrolled MSDA student?
No. Summer camp is a great way to try out Miller Street! Enroll your child and encourage their friends to join them!
What if we sign up for a camp then need to change it?
All camps are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Once your child enrolls in a camp date, they cannot switch to a different camp. This ensures that each camp is sufficiently staffed.
Where do I sign up?
Registration is online. Click on the “Register Here” tab. Find the camp or camps that work for your family’s Summer schedule and click “register” to the left of that camp(s). Full camps will show as “waitlist” to the left of the camp. Follow the online registration instructions.
What should my child wear?
For themed camps, we suggest comfortable clothes that they can move in and get a little dirty. Leotards & shorts, or shorts/jazz pants & t-shirts are a good idea. Keep in mind that for themed camps we will be doing arts & crafts & tumbling.
