Miller Street Dancer wins Miss Dance of America

On July 14th, 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Miller Street dancer and Charlotte, NC native Natalie Rogers captured the prestigious title of Miss Dance of America 2018.
Natalie competed against talented dancers from every state in the United States and from Canada. All contestants complete a private interview with the judges, in addition to being scored on jazz, ballet, tap, acrobatics, and modern classes, and they also perform a solo in the style of their choice.
Natalie began her journey to becoming Miss Dance of America at the local level, where she competed in Carolina Dance Masters preliminaries, and won the title of Miss Dance of North Carolina.
No stranger to the Dance Masters of America competition, Natalie has also held the titles of Petite Miss Dance of North Carolina, Petite Miss Dance of America, Junior Miss Dance of North Carolina, (1st RU to Junior Miss Dance of America), Teen Miss Dance of North Carolina, and Teen Miss Dance of America.
Natalie is currently a senior in the Miller Street Dance Academy Pre-Professional Program and hopes to attend the University of Alabama to study Musical Theater in the fall of 2018.
